UpToDate Help

UpToDate Access:

Your UpToDate account is designed to follow you throughout your career regardless of where you hold privileges.  As long as your facility has an UpToDate subscription, you will have full access to its resources, your search history, and your acquired CMEs.  It is for this reason there is no institution-wide login or password.  If you are on a Montage Health or CHOMP network, you will have full access to UpToDate.  It is recommended you personally login each time you use UpToDate to retain search histories or CMEs, however, it is not necessary.  If you are new to our network simply login with your personal username and password from any Montage or CHOMP computer and UpToDate will record our IP addresses to your account giving you seamless access moving forward.

Login Help:

- If you have used UpToDate in the past, use your old UpToDate login and password from any Montage or CHOMP computer and your personal account will be restored.  Update your profile information.

- If you have used UpToDate in the past but do not remember your password click "forgot password" and follow the prompts to have one emailed to you.  If you no longer have access to the email account on your profile please call their customer service at 1-800-998-6374 and they will restore your account and CMEs.

- If you have never used UpToDate before, register to create a new account from any Montage or CHOMP computer.  Please use your personal email address during your registration.

Remote Access:

Once you have either registered or logged in from a Montage or Chomp computer, UpToDate will recognize you as a user from our network and remote access will be available.  Simply download the app or login with your personal credentials from home.  You must log in once every three months from our network or your remote access will "expire".

Expired Access Error Message:

If you have been using UpToDate remotely or via the app and have not logged in from a Montage or CHOMP network within 3 months UpToDate will assume you no longer have privileges with our institution and "expire" your access.  Simply log-in from a network computer and your remote access will immediately be restored.  If you are unable to log-in from a network computer you may call the Medical Library at 831-625-4550 or Medical Staff Services at  831-625-4511 and we can log you in from here to keep you going!
